Hey Colin, Thanks for your comment...! Though every life is touched with depression at times, for some this is a real battle. I have several close friends who have lost children for example. And I have witnessed the consequences of such a loss up close and personal. Though I have written poems in the past about life from a woman's perspective to hide my identity (See 'A Girl At A Dance') , this poem is not one of those. The first 3 stanzas are about a friend's real suffering, the last stanza is really my prayer, my vision of what I hope lies before her. I look forward to more comments in the future.
