Vote: 10 A beautiful poem on friends - friends who stay, and friends who after a while go away. They can hurt and we can suffer the brunt of the pain. Nonetheless, forgiveness paves the way to reconciliation.

Dressed with very nice metaphors, this poem I think, exposes the true feelings of the poet. In the journey of life, it is pathetic how for some unknown reasons, we loose people who are so dear to us.But I have learnt that, good friends we have, good friends we lost. When you feel you have done nothing wrong, you have to let it go. Powerful poem.10.0 for this effort!

Withholds that at last are freed, ..........you've puzzled me by using the word withholds here. is this poetic license talk for things withheld? [p.s. i was looking at your ugly mug again, next to the big blossom, and decided to like you. i must be a sucker for aging farmers! ] NO. I DIDN'T say i liked this poem; i said i liked you. =================================== ruth=Ruth? the Babe of baseball OR the babe of the bible? (from the poet's note: 'live well and prosper'; is that from star trek or somethin'?) your rhyming was exceptional (that means very good) until i hit sin/men. it was/is a nice rhyme scheme, but i'd rather have a poem i understood better. yeah, yeah, i know; it's me! thanks for sharing anyway. get away from evil! get exorcised! bri :)

Mirza Ghalib (An Urdu Poet of ninetenth century) says- Kahun thse maynke keya hay, Shab-e-gham buri bala hay, Mujhey keya bura tha marna, agar ek bar hota. How should I tell you, a sorrowful night is very painful, I don't find any thing bad in death, if it; s once only. A great write.

Well expressed the trauma particularly who at last get the strength to come out of fire-orbit. Exposed well. Thanks.
