Alone….. what relief in the face of life's riot,
Alone….. and what sweet space, fragrant air all around,
Earth's rotation imparts no real sense of motion

Wow! Sarcasm? ! I've never even seen a 'Kiss of Death' before, let alone received one. I still am in shock. This is a first for me. You are a volatile, expressive woman BV. So sorry my friendship is not to your liking. But it is always there, even though it seems you don't want it (Like you, I must be true to myself too) . I do wish you well and think your writing is wonderful. Peace! (No sarcasm) .

Great poem, Brian! Nature, poetry and God take us on solitary journeys where we must be alone, to interpret what we are seeing. Loneliness is wonderful, it takes me into realms of contemplation where I find intense solitude while listening to music and writing. Searching within for answers, always surprises me with innate knowledge leaking out into poetry, just as this poem has done.

Isn't it a giving loneliness that makes you feel 'one with the motion, '...and you could set better boundaries, a nice verse!

A very sweet poem. We all at one time or another seek out some solitude in our lives. It helps us to search ourselves out and also to commune with God and nature. Lovely.

Amidst the cacophony of hectic life our innate spirit longs for solitude especially if one is a keen observer of nature. A beautiful poem which I savored alone in the company of nobody!
