This is a poem of utmost sadness. How could it be otherwise? Your metaphor of the BLACK CURTAIN is uncompromising. I am impressed with both with the weight of sorrow you are carrying without giving up and your resolve to finish this poem to inform the rest of us: Prepare yourselves - you too will carry this sorrow-load
The opening stanza, however, is a beautiful celebration of the MUSIC IN OUR LIVES.which accompanies us in sorrow and in happiness, helping us to cope, to understand, to persevere until the end - which will include blessed reunions with our loved ones.
