The custom of putting a flower in a book as a reminder of some important event or person was a custom in my country but no longer. First paperback books and then the media changed the custom - people no longer have libraries of books in their homes! I remember finding flowers, dry and brittle, which had cracked the binding of books, but they always seemed magical to me, as your poem sensitively relates.Your poem is sad, but I think sadness is a marvelous preservative for memories - sadness shows how truly important something is to us even if we cannot fully possess it but only admire it from a distance. Your poems show you fully grasp this truth.

A sad looking love story beautifully wrapped in to few lines. Great talent, you displayed. Please keep it up.
