Personal Artistic Work With Pencil or Pen
--FreeBird 02
If I drew for you
What would it be
That I would draw
In your time of need?
Would the background be
Dusk or dawn
Of a springtime meadow
Covered with blooming flowers and trees
Just like your easing through another day?
Or perhaps a dragster race
With fuel fumes and tires burning so hot
Just like your drive is pushing you?
As I edit
Then begin to draw once more
I see a motion which I had not seen before
It started with a sweet soft grin
But then a staggering glimpse of a desolation
Which left a blank upon your face.
So, what now
Is the better direction
In which I should draw
Should it be
What you say and describe
Or perhaps
More so
What you need to see
To lift you from drowning
In the sea of make believe?
Take a deep breath
Now count to 10
Then blow out what was cringing you
For it is time to realize
In things yet to be accomplished
Things yet to be done
There are limitations with everyone
And trying to surpass these limitations
May create a sense of failure
Which not be reality
Just a sense of make believe
Driving you to further depths
In the sea of Make Believe
