Permanent And Personal

Permanent and personal is Jesus Christ my Lord
My Salvation Hallelujah is Holy Spirit secured
And God my Father superintended
His love for my soul
By bringing me to an understanding
Of His Word that makes one whole

Little by little His truth became
The means where I saw the Light
The darkness by which I was encased
Was soon to take full flight
For faith took hold in application
I repented and I believed
Praise God for that wonderful moment
When the Lord Jesus Christ I received

Baptized by the Holy Spirit
I became a child of God
So thankful I was obedient too
Believe on Him when I did
His Spirit bearing witness with my spirit
In an identification divine
My name written down in the Lamb's Book of Life
Signed there on the dotted line

Now when the roll is called up yonder
I know that I'll be there
I'll be present at the Throne of Grace
For that meeting in the air
And I'll be singing with the choir
The new song of the redeemed
So thankful to have known the Word of God
And from it the truth's I gleaned

Am I satisfied? ...Hallelujah
I am
For I know my destination
All because of the understanding of
My God's so great Salvation
To have sin's removal as permanent
Praise God yes it shall be!
Through a religion? No praise God!
But Jesus up close and personal to me!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
