Penny Thoughts Poem by Saul Palti

Penny Thoughts

Thoughtful days taken by the hand
across a great and fortunate land
it was only my mind deep inside
with nowhere to escape or hide

a battle of two sides each to own
where the wind has forcefully blown
me to the outside of the fence
looking all around for my lost pence

the large house by the side of the river
is where my heart shall deliver
the two faced people who stand large
shall be forever split on the barge
