Peninsula Of Clouds Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Peninsula Of Clouds

An cloud in the sky, softly passes.
Without reason, it hesitates in stolen glances.
The sky reacts, revealing bright lit gems.
Stopping the clouds skitter by it's caress.
The cloud rests it's head on the sky's shoulder.
Longing for the throb of it's heart.
Without sense of direction it soars.
Bearing confused tears of happiness as well as sadness.
Unable to find it's heart,
Tears flowed into bending streams, searching everywhere it could.
The sky reassures that it has no reason to worry.
Revealing the sun to dry up all of it's tears.
Softly kissing the cloud's forehead.
The cloud in nature, continued to move forward.
Fretful that it could not love.
Frequently thinking of the sky, but never uttering a word.
Seeking love elsewhere.
Considering it a huge waste of time.
A peninsula of thoughts kept bottled in the ocean of the sky
