Insecure rulers
Snooping on their subjects
abandon wives

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Poet's Note Pegasus: Reference is to the Spyware developed and sold by Israel government to governments all over the world, which enables the purchasers to snoop on their subjects. Indian government did not spare even Ministers and Members of Parliament from the ruling party. " To abandon wives" : You have guessed it right. Reference is to Ram, the ‘hero' of Indian epic Ramayanam. Ram had appointed many spies to snooping on his subjects. One such spy brought him a news that a washerman, while beating up his wife for adultery, said that he is not Ram, who accepted Sita as his wife, who was pregnant with the child of Ravan. On hearing this allegation, Ram abandoned Sita and caused her to be thrown in the forests.

Everyone wants to snoop into the neighbors' bedroom, Aarzoo. An insecure ruler do not trust even his own shadow. Thank you Aarzoo.

An expressive focus on foolishness. Such a good idea to combine traces from the traditional Indian epic with the unsettling present

To use this Pegasus to sweep away the sanctity of marriage is inconceivable. It must be abhorred.

Everyone has a basic right to privacy. Although such right has its limitations and exceptions, the right exists and there are consequences as mentioned by Robert.
