You lead out with gritty power- - - - - - - Life is often a desert, love a mirage Pain becomes destiny, joy a season The roses wither, sores fester In multitudes, the pale-faced starvation- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -I did not think this depth of sorrow and agony could ever lead to a place of hope. But I should have known better, having read so many of your brilliant poems..... because- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - In the midst of all this Peep deep within To feed upon the abundance of thy soul. - - - - - - - -and there you are, the poet of the soul, encouraging mankind to find hope and find it in the ABUNDANCE of their soul. There should be a PH award for the best closing lines ever- -I thank you for this inspiring piece- -in this world, we need this kind of poetry and your kind of poet!

This is the sanctuary that spirituality guides us to. Your list of the world's e-n-d-l-e-s-s sorrows is witten with sharp discernment for each type of pain we feel. But you articulate them so clearly our minds are satisfied and don't obssess over them. My reaction was. OK, here's what we have to fear: How can we still live well. And your answer is the sanctuary within each us, which provides comfort and strength. You answer the list of sorrows woth the last words of your poem: THE ABUNDANCE OF LIFE (! !) .

With open eyes that wish to look away your poem is honest and true to the realities of life lived. Looking over the cliff into the darkness of human frailty, jealousy, greed, anger, destruction and selfishness. Stung by the lash of tyranny. All you cherish torn and cast about by doubt leaving untimely goodbyes and despairing sighs. To surrender is to deny faith. To join the abyss and admit that good is only the absence of evil. An outdated and obsolete fable but hope nourishes the soul and we do not wither but feed upon the abundance.

Amid all turbulence and tension, anxiety and agitation, there is a glimmer of light generally not noticed or perhaps veiled! If we look within in humility and with an en earnestly questing mind, we will find the source of that light...! We come to understand that it emanates from the soul! If one is able to perceive that light and follow its trail, one will not have to grope in darkness! A poem with a highly philosophical and spiritual dimension! A 10
