Pearls Poem by Skylark Woodrow

Pearls

Rating: 5.0

Pearls,
Treasures of the sea,
Delicate things of beauty.
For their beauty they are renowned,
But it is through pain that they are formed.
They start out as simple grains of sand,
Then they claw at delicate flesh until some creatures transform them into something wondrous.
Thus they came to be known as the tears of the oceans,
For out of great pain can come great beauty,
And sometimes it is the simple and ordinary things that can become the most treasured.
