I enjoyed reading this poem. The images of spring confounded to autumn confounded my mind as I read....which I rather enjoyed, because it forced my mind to travel back and forth between two seasons that don't usually touch...except in this poem. The meaning of the words are powerful and convey such emotion. I love the line, I smell the dampened earth were no man grieves. and then this couplet: And spring declares that life may come again; and warms to not surrender to despair. Such thematic imagery. Truly enjoyed this one. Thanks for sharing Barry.
