Thanks, Glen, I added the 2nd stanza some 4 hours after the 1st was completed. What happened in those hours? . I don't think I got smarter. A good angel intervened?
The darkness widens, as more light withdraws into the sleep all of us needs. How can we say, Darkness has fallen, without also saying, Light has risen over us?
That's my favorite stanza too, Bhararti. It came to me in a flash, like a spiritual gift. It seems not everything we write comes from our minds, but from somewhere else. That's the magic of poetry.
