Life has become so full of
Hustle, bustle, worry and anxiety
We run from morning till night
Doing chores and no time to rest
Too much work and no play
Takes a toll on our health.
Many ailments bog us down
We wonder what has gone wrong.
We have to pause and ponder
Why is there a rise of diabetes and blood pressure?
Now, even the doctors advise to go slow
And give your haste a' pause'
Give time to care your health
Do exercise, pranayam and morning walk
And pause every now and then
To listen to the tweeting birds
Pause to inhale the sweet scented flowers
Take rest under shady bowers
Breathe cool fresh air and
Enjoy the beauty that nature offers.
You surely need to give your haste a break
Read good books to fill your mind with inspiring thoughts
Take your paint brush that you
Have left long back
And paint a picture you like,
There is no wrong to start it anew
Always give a pause to your hasty steps
Go slow, enjoy beauty and give your body enough rest.
