Pause Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Pause

There's a disease that's spreading rapid.
Pause.
The news cautions to take proper precautions.
I wonder how it goes in other countries.
To stop & take a breath
Without being harmed.
Pause.
A prayer for safe passage.
Just being you isn't enough.
To be a part of a neighborhood that's actually neigh-bro-ly
There's a disease & it's spreading rapid.
Cover your face, hold out your hands.
Do what ever they say.
Conform to the BULLET points
They plot & map out,
Theres a disease & it's spreading
Out of control.
Face masks and hand sanitizer cannot control what was meant
To take place.
The news cautions to take proper precaution.
Pause.
The news cautions to take proper precaution.
Pause.
This disease isn't something new.
Someone help,
I cannot breathe
Please don't record me.
Pause
Please do not record me.
