Life is a journey with stages that we pass only once and never see them again, what is gone is gone forever.

To catch the last glimpse of the sun flowers that sent her thoughts on a journey from which she knows she will never return Only go on and on and then just go- - The poet finds a connection with the sun-flower while looking through train window. The flower is like a girl, a person, time is speeding past.No one can go back to the same point he has left behind.Life will pass and finally go from this earth.Highly philosophical poemWonderful read.

As an anyomous woman reads poetry and the thoughts that wander through her mind. An absolute charming scenario with almost anything possible. I find the poetic setting marvelous and very engaging. The style awakes my concious.. Thank you Ai wherever you may be. Paul

I associate Allen Ginsberg with his poems about sunflowers. I like Ai's 'take' on Allen.
