Partition photographs,
Black and white photographs
Showing the Partition people
Trudging and trekking,
A mass exodus on foot
Unertaking a tedious journey
Leaving their homes
After being driven out,
Shown the doors
Dying of thirst, fatigue, hunger and ailment.
The houses lyng deserted,
Half-burnt and half-demolished,
The bullock carts stationed near,
Especially the wooden frame wheels,
People atop he wagon trains,
The passenger trains
Bringing them to,
But the destination unknown.
