Parents And Children Belong Together Poem by Hebert Logerie

Migrant children and their families belong together.
Our babies should be reunited with their parents.
Our children shouldn't be babysitting by ICE agents.
Our bundles of joy, our future leaders deserve better

Our children are not little chicks, who belong in dog cages.
Let our people and our babies go; let them stay with their parents.
Children are the future. With God's blessing, they'll see better days.
Down with all selfish politicians. Our kids need not be with agents.

Our children must be set free; they need to grow to be citizens
Of our wonderful world. They need love and better protections.
Our bundles of joy deserve better nutrition and accommodations.
Our babies don't belong in filthy detention centers or dirty prisons
