Paranormal Paranoia

Between sleep deprivation
and limited nutrition occasioned by self imposed fasting
hallucinations can be lasting
evoking scenes of cataclysmic
end times

Exacerbation derives from repetition
being told the same thing
in this state of extreme deprivation
till it becomes alive
Like a PoLteRgEisT.

Despite clinical psychologists mapping the brain
investigating the source of the strain
it is said to be prophecy

Add hallucinogens to the mix,
and the level of psychosis
is elevated to extreme levels
serotonin and dopamine out of normal ranges

Inhabitants of Alpha Centauri D having already landed
from 4.2 lightyears away
flying saucers landing in Area 57
aliens green in colour with big eyes
hidden from public view by the all knowing government

Daily, scifi movies are the staple
making one unstable
mixed with opium
and the mysticism of religion
giving a perfect storm of ParA
