Well may you launch upon the deep salt-sea Your vessel, keeping still my wake before you Upon the water that grows smooth again. The great work of Paradiso... the great Dante. tony

Dante starts this poem by warning the readers to turn back to see your [our] shores again because otherwise we might get lost at sea because he is so talented, we probably won't understand his poetry. He thinks these readers should turn back and sail for safer shores. Maybe turn back and read again the first two books of the Divine Comedy. I'm not sure but isn't this counter to the objective- selling your work? I think I would have been miffed. Thank goodness, I agree with his assessment as concerning me.
