Paradise For Sale Poem by Akhtar Jawad

Paradise For Sale

Rating: 5.0

You foolish boy how you dare to question?
You are questioning as to how bloodshed can lead to heaven,
Your belief is doubtful!
I have been teaching you since you were a kid,
Those who killed others in the name of belief,
They are our heroes the ideals for us,
They purchased paradise by killing non-believers,
Or by killing those who differ in faith,
The sale is open get yourself prepared,
To purchase paradise by shedding the blood,
Kill humans as many as you can,
Paradise is costly item needs at least,
Thousand dead bodies of men, women and children!

(Ismaili Muslims’ bus was attacked at Karachi and at least 45 humans were killed)

It is very sad that, people are trained to believe in this idea; but, let the truth be noticed by all! For, death and destruction are NOT part of peace. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.

This is extremely sad and disturbing to all! There is an upheaval against these horrible crimes in the name of religion going around in many communities around the world. These Zihadists must be caught and/or killed. I wrote a poem, Fifty years from today few months ago in PH dealing with this issue. I thank you, Poet Jawad, for bringing this highly critical issue. More poets should speak out on this issue.

People are brain washed to believe that bloodshed in the name of religion is justified.... Some extremist religious groups have even gone to the extend of glorifying homicide and even genocide! The essense of all religion is to love one another and never to kill each other. Our voice should be raised against all brutal killing in the name of God! A great write Akhtarji! !
