With all that paper work to do And so less time to grieve My heartfelt sympathies with you But it will be the same when we also leave....... May God grant you the inner strength as He has in the past to overcome this and cling to golden memories too...
Very informative sentiments....this would give advise to all!
These bureaucratic processes are so unkind! You have brought out the painful feelings mixed with humor. A good poem,10/10.
Your poetry is always a pleasure to read. Even in difficult times you can give a light note and I this makes it so wonderful Excellent, Val
so sorry about your loss dear Val. Someday you and he will be reunited. keep smiling praying for you and your family.
Just want to take a little time to say that I am sorry about the loss of your beloved husband. My heartfelt sympathy and concern for you as a sister here on PH goes beyond deep. In time you will heal from all of it. You expressed yourself very well even in your grief. That is very courageous. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can't heal. Take care Val and my best regards to you.
Fallen in the deep valley, i hope there will be many hands that offer you to climb back..This kind of situation is not kind at all but pain...If we can do donation and help by energy for you Val, we wish we can help you and people here...Though nothing we cant do to make your days better...I only can hope God may send something for you..whatever happiness we still have, hope it still here and we remain_Soul
..the wound is the place where light enters you..it has been rightly said by Rumi..you are in great pain but the best has come out of you in the form of this poem..all the greatest poetic works have come out only when they were in their deepest abyss..an amazing piece of writing..
i cant say i understand it the way you do, but i do understand it in my own way. i lost my nephew, Jaime. and all the angels above i know how grief cuts your heart to pieces. but we cope, and so will you. god sees to that. just keep writing val, it helps a lot. i know from experience. it helps a great deal. hope you smile someday near in future, sending you my smile. :)
I went through the same torment just over a year ago when my Tina died. It does get easier in time. She now lives in my first 50 sonnets and many peoms on PH.
A pen-picture of reality. You are steady enough and the mess around will get o.k and time will heal your grief.Amazing write!
An admirable, chin up way to face your adversity.Well done, thorough and instructive..Just keep writing in your remarable way
Valerie, your poem is so instructive. It provides information for all the couples when both spouses are alive. Thank you for sharing all that information through a thoughtful poem of listing realities.
@Poet's notes: a great lesson is delivered here... @the poem: mostly nature poems, love poems, national songs, and elegies are written alike, but this poem has its own originality, as i never read such an expression so spontaneous...who is the one who cannot feel this humour soaked in tears?
a sad tale narrated in a very humorous way.....a good write Mam...and yes all these mandatory things are a pain to get cleared off which easily takes a couple of years to get updated..........
Life has to go on Val. It is probably a good thing that you can get some of the stress out by writing about your loss. It's well written too.
Oh my dear friend. In so much pain and stiil the courage to set such a piem to paper.. wonderful poem so well written and so sad.
Oh Valerie! My heart goes out to you. I too have always found writing poetry a great solace in times of distress. Thank you for sharing this with us. My very best wishes to you at this most difficult period of your life.
