hey! i wasn't done! My Paper Refuses Ink A N D Ants! … [ Inspired by Annette Aitken’s “Paper Never Refuses Ink”; short; silly? ] WHO said “paper never refuses ink”? ! ‘My Paper’ hates both; thinks ink does stink! [Ants too. Squish one, and smell what’s left of them! ] So I never, EVER force ink on my paper, no matter what sort of poetic-caper …. I’m feeling like writing. Instead I use a number 2 pencil (like in first grade) . AND it’s easier to erase the mistakes I’ve made! ! (December 4, 2016) Thanks for the idea, Annette. bri :)

favorite lines (so far) : Ink escapes like little ants make unsuspecting letters dance.............nice image and nice rhyme! but if my wife saw you 'writing ants', she would slam her hand down on the poor little letters!

I am again visiting the poem s the title is so catchy for a poet not to read.Paper and ink are so closely related.Either of them has no meaning without the other.Emotion to poem is like ink to paper.Without emotion flowing no poem can be written.Thank you Annete Aitken for sharing this beautiful poem.

there is an old saying in Bengali (a state in India or in Bangladesh) ... kali kalam man lekhe tin jan. kali=ink...kalam=pen...lekhe=write.....tin jan=three person.. you say this.....when pen and mind decide the paper becomes only a pray to them passively..... anyway simply great...ant imagery is fitting..... thanks...

The relation-very peculiar relation between ink, pen and paper, completely ignoring what the communion presents, is really intriguing. And the outcome of the union, again, is worth deeper ponder! Fantastic poem.No wonder it got selected poem of the day.10+

THERE IS UNSEEN LOVE between paper and pen. Words continue to flow here. Paper loves ink of pen to hold with emotion. Paper never refuses it. What an interesting poem this is really. This is very pleasing and touching.10
