It's arts, where meanings are based on the audiences. Subjectivity is unavoidable. Poor painter, if he wants the meaning to be rigid according to his own manifestation. But yes, at least the painting is appreciated.

I recomend this with an 8 because it has some good lines I like. But I also will take this opportunity to illustrate what I meant by too many words and lines not needed. ' People are entering and The exhibition is on ', and the fact that the PAINTER is ' standing in the corner.' None of these words or lines are relevant to the poem. GW62

very deep thought...for any artist the worse insult is to be misunderstood...its demeaning and heartbreaking! ...tears do indeed flow.well done

Lovely poem with a deep inner meaning.A painter's soul is the painting itself, the colours on the canvas.A 10!

different meanings on different visions...the painting is one and the same...the 'Painter' may be musing only over the viewer's ignorance...you give up crying...10

an excellent poem. When we write out poems its the same. Others look at the words yet see something different then what we mean. Everyone interrupts what they see and read in their own way.

I love this poem like anything- 'the true meaning of painting is lost and gone' Sometimes like our poems also! A splendid job is done. It is a moving composition of emotion. Added only a single 10 to it.
