And I thought of the sadness of the snow on the roof that once was a halo of sunlight. Rachel Ann Butler
this is an excellent...poem...but it freaking hurts to...read...helen had it right...when she said 'heart-breaking'...and yet...i could not have illustrated this...catatrophe...any better...
'the snow on the roof that was once a halo of sunlight'. This to me the most expressive line in an absolutely superb piece that surely each and every one of us can relate to, in relation to a lover if not a husband. (Incidentally there's a theme of self-blame in many of your pieces. I don't believe in it... in a partnership, adverse things almost always happen for a reason relating to both people, not just the impulsive and groundless desires of one) . A stunner. t x
Oh Jan, this is so heartbreaking to read. I understand the emotions you must be going through..... you wonder how it all comes to this. But if your soul yearns to be free, what can you do? It'll come right in the end, for sure. Lovely write and a most poignant display of emotions well covered. HG: -) xx
Oh this is so sad Jan and you portray it so very well. I was with you in the room and watched as your ex left and you followed with your eyes..... Ruthie
