She lost her own name
Earned a notorious fame
To be known life long
Until she is gone,
By a name she likes not,
Yet that's her lot
To be buried into anonymity
By the sane people's insanity
To respond with no qualms whatsoever
Whenever addressed by the name "Paglee's Mother"!

@Lyn Paul, Yes, I wrote the poem remembering a sad story. Thanks for reading and leaving a comment. Yesterday I read your poem 'Angry World' and left a comment there.
@Mahtab Bangalee, Thanks for reading the poem and leaving a thoughtful comment here.
Sadness! ! ! Facing the ways of the society. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
'Facing the ways of the society' - @EKL, yes, facing the negative preferences of the society.
i think i'm 'missing something' here. the lady gave birth to a daughter and was thence referred to as 'Mother of a Paglee'? AND the mother can't remember what her original name is/was? ? ? ok, i can believe it only if the mother has now become a paglee OR demented. : ( bri otherwise, i like the poem
@Bri Edwards, Yes, she gave birth to a mentally retarded girl child, kind of a lunatic. She gave her a name as she also did to her other children, but people didn't call her by that name, instead they called her 'Paglee', meaning a mentally abnormal girl. Her own mother at one time got used to calling her 'Paglee' like everybody else, forgetting her name she herself kept. The poem is not on 'Paglee', but her mom.
Read with sadness for there is a story to be told with so many others. Thank You
