Paarvathi is a wonderful poem which i identify with. I fully agree that Paarvathi was not just a cow but a Goddess. When i lived in my Grandparents house in Palakkad, i learnt of the attachment they had for the cows. We had four cows. Of them, one was named Lakshmi. Unfortunately, Lakshmi died. I still remember how my grandmother sobbed. It was like a member of the house was gone.
Both Paarvathi and Lakshmi are not just animals called cows. They are Gomatas -Goddessess who nourish us like a mother. Their presence in a house is a blessing for us. This poem has touched my heart.100+
