Owl Poem by Nellie Isabelle Steward Cooper

Owl

I surely don't give a toot or hoot
about what u say... anyway...! ! !

be that as it may

I do get hungry flying
from tree to tree..

What can that be? ? ?

It's only me as
u can plainly see

Still flying free

Some tasty morsel awaits me
Is quickly a most pleasant repast

I'm keen and ever so fast

Let me rest on this limb a bit
I'll just listen, observe and sit

A bird of great wisdom and whit

I'll dive when the time is right
being well fed on flesh tonite

It comes in handy this thing called flight

Eating other animals is what I do
being just like ... you know

Who... who... who...! ! !
