Outsider Poem by William Kofoed

Outsider

The people come

In total silence

Glaze never wavering

Eyes without welcome

They gather around

Quietly watching

They want you gone

You're in their place

You're not one of them

And never will be

Words are not needed

No need to speak

The message is given

It is time to go

More on once more

Endless travel

No place is home

In no place welcome
