well, Eliias, almost a year and a half ago you sent this fine poem to PH about me. thanks again, and i hope you have succeeded to advance your lofty pursuit(s) since then, and that you shall always find success............... but not TOO MUCH that it will make you too good for the rest of us here on PH. :) :) :) may your country and mine find peaceful and mutually-satisfying resolutions to our differences! thank you my friends ellias AND family. it was a nice invitation and nicely presented, and NOW i have received an equally nice poem OUR unique family friend! unique is a nice way to express my personality i guess. it is, perhaps, better than the word weird which some people have used! ! ! i only wish (a little bit at least) that i was as nice a person as ellias thinks i am. ha ha. thanks very much ellias (and family) . bri :) p.s. Ellias, good luck always with your pursuits after you say good bye to poem hunter. stay in touch. let me know when you become a professor.

to Unwritten Soul, another of my PH friends and the first one to comment on this poem. i have just read this fine note from my friend ellias to me. a correction for U.S.....i did NOT visit iran, though i was invited, but i DO feel some kinship with ellias and his family. if i could transport myself there like the Starship Enterprise crew members could be transported in the tv show.......gee, what was the name of that show years ago? .....oh yeah....Star Trek i guess....i would have transported myself there for a visit. as it is, i can not transport myself other than by means which take a lot of time, effort, and expense. besides, it is good enough for me to enjoy my meetings with ellias and his family and with other poets/friends on PoemHunter.com. i am a stay-at-home sort of guy. i guess i WILL travel back across the u.s. (united states in this case) to visit my daughter and her new baby, once he is born in january. but that will be a gift to my daughter from me. bri edwards :)
