Truly, the inner battle is one to win, but it's not easy without Jesus the comforter!
A really moving poem and so well formed and written. For many of use our mind's are our greatest gift and our greatest enemy.
A poem filled with truth and wisdom. Looking inside, while it can be sometimes disturbing, it can be also a fabulous thing. When I look inside I find a mind that is busy, pleasing my ego, thinking thoughts of hatred and thoughts of love. Then when looking a bit deeper I find my heart sometimes obeying the mind, sometimes commanding it, sometimes full of pain and hurt and at other times love and compassion. If I manage to look beyond, I find the soul, the commander who can choose to use the mind in a different way. My soul speaks so softly and it has to be so quiet for me to hear it. I have to make it quiet, in my house, in my mind and also in my heart. But if I manage to hear its voice, it shows me the beauty all around me and directs my eye to the love in my heart and the smiles of the people. Life is not easy, but if we can manage to make it truly quiet in our mind and heart, the beauty is never far away. Sorry for the long comment. It is truly a thought provoking and wonderful poem.
