It's easy to forget that
amid the daily hustle
and bustle of our lives
our planet is wonderfully wild.
Evidence of Earth's
menagerie was all
around us in
our childhood.
Whether we see
them living in mighty
jungles, grassy
lains or desert oases,
our view of animals
shapes how we look
at the world, from
the time we are just
grasping how to
speak, read and write.
These images carry
an intrinsic message,
something we knew
as children but may be
forgot and we should
do more to protect our nature
and all of its life, so
future generations
may share in the same
joy of discovery.
