Our Nation - A Republic Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Watching carefully in all directions, making sure there
are no enemies around in our vicinity, locked and loaded,
no one will escape if they're out to kill Americans.

Feeling safe and protected through writing of poetry,
totally aware, alert and knowing about all the subterfuge,
ready in a nanosecond to attack whomever tries to harm us.

Strangers proving themselves to be true Americans, united
as one, we are ready to annihilate our enemies in one fell
swoop.

There are millions more of us than there is of them, we will
overcome, no worries or doubts at all, loving America, our
Nation will continue standing as the Republic it truly has
always been and still is.
