Superb piece of poetry, David. So true. Our memories, so important. If we spend money on a holiday, many people say, do not spend to much, it will be finished in only 2 weeks. But that is not true at all. The holidays I had with my family, are still very much alive in my mind and I still enjoy the sweet memories. So is it with so many other things in life as well. Our memories are among the most valuable things we can keep. There is something very nice about our memories. Even the sad ones, get a very special kind of glow and glory in the distant past.
