Our Last Good Night Poem by Chris Embrick

Our Last Good Night

Rating: 5.0

I wrote these words thinking of you
My love poem, the last I'll write
They say my heart won't last the night
There's nothing more the doctors can do.
My time is ending, life is through
I'm too weak to keep up the fight
I wrote these words, thinking of you
My love poem, the last I'll write.
I guess deep down inside we knew
The way we'd spend our last good night
Holding each other, peaceful, quiet
With one last kiss, bid love adieu
I wrote these words, thinking of you.
