Our Heritage

OUR HERITAGE

Don't ask what I have sold

All my dreams and expectations

I think she will come back like season

But has gone time ever come back?

After ages I happen to glance at that book

When opened felt the fragrance of her

Oh my friend! I have always been

Worshiper of humanism

I am not concerned with Kaaba,

Rome and Kashi

Oh may fate! Tell me what is this

Relation between my love and me

Each time I tried to forget my love

But each time her thought came

Unchecked in my life

In this era of intolerance

Guide has become predator in life

The merchants of hate are on rampage

Our collective heritage is under attack

Let us forget our differences

And focus on our collective

Values and heritage for an

Inclusive culture- unity in diversity.

Oh my friend! I have always been / Worshopper of humanaism I am not concernd with Kaaba / Rome and Kashi Great poem reminding us of the power of our collective values and heritage. As a country, we need to focus on these rather than highlighting our differences. Unity in diversity has been our strength for ages. Let us preserve it. Thanks a lot sir.
