Our Great Resource Of Solace

Our great resource of solace
Is found in Jesus Christ
Who knows the beginning and the ending
Of our journey here in life
And how sin would seek to deviate
Us from coming to know the Lord
And constantly thwart any effort made
To read God's Holy Word

His love relentless in reaching
The heart of each lost soul
To bring them to a repentant state
So they can be made whole
God is always on the lookout for
Those who turn His way
And to those who are such minded
He will soon become their Stay

The drawing power of the Spirit
Will lead the lost one's home
When in faith they believe in the Word
That Salvation is in Christ alone
Nothing like sinners saved by grace
Singing songs from a soul set free
Delivered now from from sin's damnation
Looking forward to a blessed eternity!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
