I understand the love that can be shared between owner and pet, yesterday we buried Emilys pet rat, it was dear to her and she will miss it very much, This is a poem of sadness but also of release and I hope that Aggy rests in peace Love Duncan
God, do I relate! A lovely tribute Ernestine, thanks for telling us.
Awwwww! How sad....I can relate, We have a bassett hound (Boomer) that is the sweetest guy you've ever met. He brought such a new type of 'love' to our family that we just didn't even know existed. We adore him. I'm sorry you lost Aggy but it sounds like she had a great life. Sweet poem. Sincerely, Mary
Dear Ernestine, I'm a sucker for doggie poems and I couldn't resist a peak at this one. I'm so glad I did. You have captured the soul of your beautiful four-legged friend with a gentle smile and avoided the maudlin sentimentality on so often finds in poems about pets. Aggy (great name too) obviously had a long and loving life. Thanks for recording it so beautifully for us. love, Allie xxxx
