Walking on a hot and scorching day
We meet a splitting of the way
A way downwards looking shady, some trees are there
A way upwards, sandy without trees, just looking bare

Read this fabulous poem with interest and appreciated the ending: shall we make little effort on the upper way? And enjoy shade and breeze day by day. Top score!

awesome poem.... it is more than just a verse. it is a message. true words. really we should choose our way by ourself and we must know what way is right or wrong.... Midway upon the journey of our life I found myself within a forest dark, For the straightforward pathway had been lost. (Dante Alighieri)

Like all of your poems, this has an important meaning. I think it is heart moving and it says to me to be careful with your life choices, for instant pleasure is not always the best road.

Some choices just clear as that, so we can rejoice like what it reflect...But some choices just blur and enveloped in mystery ground then we will hard to choose what the best without lose...It very nice poem and may birds will come and show us what the best, if shady tree turn autumn where the heat could reach both places.. :) _Unwritten Soul

Well written and very spiritual without being overtly so. I like the images of the lower path that is easier or a small effort for the higher path. I like the contrasts in the paths as well. Very well done and thought provoking. Thank you for sharing this.

Shall we choose the way below with instant pleasure? Leading down to a place of heat, we cannot measure

Life is a mixture of hard and soft ways. But one should make a right choice to tread in the shady way and must put efforts in that direction. Then God will surely help. Great message. Thanks

No, no we can't bear walking on the way which leads to inferno. We must strive for choosing God's way. And for this we have to be humble, cosiderate and straigh forward. Very deep poem. Excellent!

‘Just heat and sweat and more ennui’ ~ But one has to bear it ‘Somewhere deep inside we are aware’ ~ Yeah this awareness is self consciousness self slicing… ‘Shall we choose the way below with instant pleasure? ’ ~ Instant never Constant… Well best choice comes when mind is in balanced state …your poetry has very in-depth meaning …need contemplation… Thanks for sharing Regards Ms. Nivedita UK 10/10

There is goodness and evil in our own selves. the way upward or the downward way? it is a matter of our own decision. where do i go? a philosophical theme. you can develop it more. from where does evil come from where does goodness come. is there a world of origin for goodness and evil outside ourselves.? ? ? thank u for ur thoughts. thank u

Great and commendable work! It has a slight touch of Robert Frost (The Road Not Taken) in it. It is an amazing write. I like the analogy that you have used here. I wish the current generation reads it and lives by it in letter and in spirit, too. If we make the right choice in life, that will 'make all the difference'.

Many a times we find ourselves blaming our destiny, people and sometimes even the lord for the misfortunes that come to us in life But often we forget the choice we made to bring that misfortune to ourselves, the lord is always with us, we also do hear his voice when we are making a choice and the voice comes from inside us. Fantastic piece of work 10+
