Our Bond You Scorned Poem by susette varga

Our Bond You Scorned

The bond we formed
Was never the norm
Although close
You were never warm

Intimacy always
Cold to the touch
Hoping for more
But that was too much

Deep down I knew
I was never enough
To touch your soul
Quench your lust

You left me suddenly
No backward glance
She welcomed you
With open arms

Selfishly
There was no mercy
Only disrespect
For a woman who cared

Broken hearted
I felt so empty
The bond we shared
You scorned completely

The grass may be greener
On the other side
But in time
She will see
That you are no good
Just like me

Karma
In turn
Will call you out
You will pay the price
For the wrong you done

The universe
Is there to ensure
The pain we cause
Is put right

Very soon
Your day will come
To reap the rewards
Of all you have sown

We hope karma works. It is only hope and does us no good anyway. Well penned.++10
