We are all human and it is only human to forget the promises we made once or the promises made to us. Don't brood over the broken promises! They will only destroy our peace of mind! It is better to forgive those who couldn't keep their promises and move along! A practical tip to be happy in life!

A supreme quality which any person may possess to live happily is forgive and forget. It is not easy but at some point in time one should realise that it is a baggage we carry unnecessarily.10**** Though they linger in our minds Much longer than the love lasts, Those should rather be forgotten Than thought over, over and over.

Thanks for quoting my lines, @M Asim Nehal. 'at some point in time one should realise that it is a baggage we carry unnecessarily.' - Indeed you have rightly said so. Much inspired by your generous rating of the poem.

Sometimes, in life, things are happen beyond our control. Most often, promises are never kept. The best way is to forget about it. And also forgive the persons who could not keep the promise. Move on with pure thoughts of love alone....... Thank you Khairul Sahab for these sublime thoughts.......Beyond the stars....

@Geeta Radhakrishna Menon, Your kind thoughts have inspired me a lot. You have rightly said, 'The best way is to forget about it. And also forgive the persons who could not keep the promise. Move on with pure thoughts of love alone.......'. - Your thoughts are sublime too, which I very much appreciate.

At some point in time we realize, We ought to have forgotten Those promises, as because Those were not meant for keeps......so true. Unless we forget we can't happy.. A beautiful poem on unrequited love is well executed. Five stars.
