This is a beautiful tribute to special bird. I love the line, Silver prey hangs from talon strength. And yes, 'an intimation that worship need only the sky.' You've done a nice job of keeping the words to a minimum. It provides a certain level of flow to the writing, like flying. Your regal, powerful, and beautiful images give the reader a sense of the bird Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Pamela. The image is my own for a change, my favorite osprey in a dead tree at my condo. I saw him yesterday again with a fish in his grasp headed for a different tree.
