Originally, a Kannada Sonnet written by me and this has rhyme but there is a French translation included below

tamarind rice is the gift
the enthusiasm of the festival
with ease comes the porridge
with the ladle is the flag
this is the way patriots get their pride
this is the way patriots make waves
this is the way the juices flow
along with making waves, we like laughter;

along with brown sugar and jiggery comes flirtatious flippancy
the teeth are pleased by sugary taste
without jasmine there is no familiarity
there is no path for falsehood
or this way is the way to heaven
there is the great time to truth
expertise is literature
but the expert is the miser
music the fugue way is good music
the refrain and the theme are important
but the compositional musical notes are like the picture made out of a silk thread

French translation and I don't know a word of French
le riz au tamarin est le cadeau
l'enthousiasme du festival
avec facilité vient la bouillie
avec la louche est le drapeau
c'est la façon dont les patriotes obtiennent leur fierté
c'est ainsi que les patriotes font des vagues
c'est ainsi que coulent les jus
tout en faisant des vagues, nous aimons le rire;

avec le sucre brun et jiggery vient flirt fantaisie
le goût sucré ravit les dents
sans jasmin il n'y a pas de familiarité
il n'y a pas de chemin pour le mensonge
ou ce chemin est le chemin au paradis
il y a le grand moment de vérité
l'expertise est la littérature
mais l'expert est l'avare
la musique à la fugue est de la bonne musique
le refrain et le thème sont importants
mais les notes de composition sont comme l'image d'un fil de soie
