'Orchids in bloom' by Andrew W.K. Yip
Orchids with the little green leaves in bloom,
Sparkle and dance in the morning breeze.
Your petals flutter in glee and ready to greet,
Small, colorful, or speckled, turning to tease.
You whispered to me in the moonlight,
Glisten gladly in the wind and whistle,
Like the stars blink messages at night,
Up so high, yet exchange glances in the drizzle.
May you bless our father's soil
Where all have stood together to struggle and toil.
Unity in diversity like orchids bloom and grow,
With our fingers on your petals, more blessings tomorrow.
Bless our homeland forever.
Bless our nation for evermore.
