Jon-o Mclean thought his pain was ended
But on opening his mail he was again suspended
For there, for all to see
Was a bill reflecting history.
So much for the needle and novicane
A trivial amount to ease his pain,
And a charge for the silver filling now in place
Which eased the pain in his face,
But there was an additional charge to be paid
Seems a chair needed to be rewired
(The amount seemed equal that of the new boat
That now kept the dentist safely afloat!)
Jon-o Mclean felt the pain
That struck his wallet, for shame!
