Only Yesterday Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Only Yesterday

Rating: 4.3

Shades obscuring my clear vision
To the window of my inflamed soul
Heart aching sucking pain
Spitting out words with no meaning
Audience pretending to listen suffering
Feeling my grief their sorrow

And we keeping stomaching with disdain

Searching each others' eyes
Dying of loneliness
Knowing that today is a rerun of yesterday
And tomorrow is destined to become today
Forever lost in the mistakes of yesterday
Waking up to the twilight of our years

Believing that our youth was only yesterday
