Only when
The unbearable pain she went through during child birth is like no other,
The sleepless nights she had while breastfeeding you and singing you calming songs,
The tears she cried when you cried and she couldn't make you stop,
The unbearable pain she bore when you fell sick,
You were an attention seeker do know that? Always wanting her to be around you,
Bringing you up was never a smooth road on her side,
And only when you become a mother,
That's when you will understand and appreciate your mother most.
The sleepless nights when the baby cries almost the entire night and you have work the following day,
The bills and pain and guilt of returning home empty handed,
The pressure from your child's school asking for fully paid bank slips,
Your people have to eat and you are supposed to provide daily,
The sugar you bought last week and the gas you refilled last week are over in a couple of days,
That wallet that used to be pregnant with money notes now only Carrie's your ID card and some cents,
The high expectations from everyone at home and the impossibility of providing everything for everyone,
Only when you become a husband and a father will you understand and appreciate your father more.
