The poet's contribution of more than ten thousand poems is a great start in the poem world and in this poem hunter com. which I watched with interest. This particular poem is a good one and have a say to the society the conditioned mind of a poor whose contentment of life is through getting a peace of cloth and bearest minimum necessities of life that is the food for sustenance. He stands for the perfect knowledge and truth which makes it a great poem and I loves it.
I like the spirituality a lot. Not quite sure why you didn't echo the 'Only I want' line in the third verse to keep the structure. Also I wondered why you wanted knowledge... The strength of the poem is in questing knowledge with subsistence. I would have liked to have felt the pain and hunger a little more. Also 'Only I want' is ambiguous in English implying isolation of the 'I' -i..e I am the only one who wants... Bringing that ambiguity out, or at least the loneliness behind it would be very powerful. Will spend a lot more time on this forum in the days ahead, listening and learning. Thanks for very your direct contributions, Gajanan.
