Only At The End
I try not to think of you
because when I think of you
my heart beats fast
and I don't want to feel like a drum
that never stops playing,
I don't want to feel
a storm rushing through my veins.
I will wait
for downpours and oceans
to dampen the memory through the passing of time
and when at the end
I won't have the strength to long for you anymore
I will finally be able to shut my eyes
and love you again.
